Funding - Capital Grants

For the establishment of small scale economic projects with the central objective of facilitating the creation and maintenance of sustainable jobs and the development of economic infrastructure at local level. Grants will support individuals, companies and community groups:

- with eligible projects in the commercial sphere
- in manufacturing and in internationally traded sector where the employment potential does not   exceed ten (10) people
- tourism projects aimed principally at overseas markets
- which have the capacity to achieve commercial viability
- and which are not likely to cause displacement of other similar businesses

Capital / Refundable grants are offered for such items as:

- erection of a building
- refurbishment and expansion of a building
- purchase of new machinery and equipment

Maximum grant of €75,000 or 50% of the approved work whichever is the lessor, an element of which is in refundable form. With regard to the Refundable Grants, these are available at 3% over 3 years, with a two year moratorium.
